As the nine crew members of the Aquarius 300 search for a new planet to terraform, their ship is pulled into the inescapable gravitational forces of a black hole. As they fight for their survival and approach the event horizon, they are forced to confront questions of love, loss, and faith. 

Written collaboratively as a radio play by a group of Austin-based theatre artists in 2020, Passage offers an escape into far-away places with intimate and truthful conversations on human connection and endurance.

How to find Smelt House: Look for the Haus Obscura sign on E 6th Street by a gate. Enter through the gate and look for the second (red) door on your left. There will be signage to help point you in the right direction.

The show runs approximately 90 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.

Parking & Transportation

There is street parking on E 6th St., Pedernales St., Calles St., Hidalgo St., and other nearby locations. Due to limited street parking we highly recommend carpooling, rideshare, or public transportation.

Public transit options

CapMetro Bus Line 4 runs all week from 6 am - midnight with stops that are walking distance from Smelt House. Fares are $1.25 one way.
